Britney & Joshua, Lewisburg, WV

There has always been something magical about the Elizabethan Gardens, which only elevated during Britney and Joshua’s ultra romantic “I do’s.” This wedding proves that your Outer Banks destination ceremony doesn’t have to be on the beach to be perfect. Perwinkle hues, a gorgeous alter chandelier, and an adorable ring bearer – Britney and Joshua’s whimsical garden ceremony was filled with all the details we adore! Taking the reception celebration to the Hilton Garden Inn Pier House, Britney let her hair down for these gorgeous photos captured by Julie Dreelin Beach Productions. Trust us, you’ll fall in love with everything about this wedding!

Wedding Recap: Hilton Garden Inn Pier House

Our Outer Banks Wedding Association members didn’t let the gloomy weather rain on their parade for this past weekend’s wedding at The Hilton Garden Inn Pier House. Kaitlin and Ben couldn’t have been more smitten with one another, which certainly shows in the moments captured by Outer Banks Productions. Thankfully, the rain held up 15 minutes before their ceremony began and their sweet, beachy “I do’s” went off without a hitch! (Just wait until you see the ceremony floral details designed by Sugar Snap Events – absolutely gorgeous!!) Congratulations to Kaitlin and Ben!

From bouquets to centerpieces, succulents are popping up every where! This is a beautiful way to bring natural elements to your swoon-worthy affair. One of our favorite places to incorporate succulents is in bridal bouquets. Keep it simple with buttery floral, create a showstopping look with pops of vivid pink or be romantic serene blues. The Outer Banks Wedding Association members have taken our breath away with these beautiful bouquets and we hope these photos inspire your bridal bouquet!

Sarah & Andy, Omaha, Nebraska

A love affair that began in Omaha and was sealed a thousand miles away in the Outer Banks, Sarah and Andy’s destination “I do’s” couldn’t have been more romantic. From the first look at Cape Hatteras’s Bodie Island Light Station and a wedding at Jennette’s Pier, Sarah and Andy’s wedding day featured many of the things we love about the Outer Banks. The golden hues of Jennette’s Pier and the deep blue ocean beautifully complimented the tangerine and navy color palette incorporated throughout their wedding day.  There’s no hiding the electric chemistry Sarah and Andy have, and thanks to Sarah Keenan Photography and Design we are sharing a few of our favorite photos! Kick up your heels and enjoy these moments that our wonderful members help make possible.

Weekend Recap: Jennette’s Pier!

It was a Jennette’s Pier wedding weekend for a handful of our Outer Banks Wedding Association members! On Friday, we had the pleasure of getting plenty of “in the moment” shots with The Good Life Gourmet for Jadia and Andy’s Friday evening wedding. Saturday, we traveled back to Jennette’s Pier to catch up with The Proper Setting, I Do OBX Chairs and Ocean Atlantic Rentals during their set up for Tara and Chris’s big day. Congratulations to all of our members who worked so hard to make this past weekend’s weddings a big success!

Jadia and Andy’s evening wedding featuring navy and tangerine tones, couldn’t have been lovelier. From Andouille sausage to buttery, yellow corn, The Good Life Gourmet prepared a succulent low country boil with all of your favorite fixins’. And, how gorgeous do those tropical fruit skewers look?!  Congrats to The Good Life Gourmet on all our hard work to create and deliver these Southern style goodies!

GoodLifeCollage

In true glitz fashion, The Proper Setting designed Tara and Chris’s wedding with silvers, grays, pops of turquoise and a touch of sparkle.  Along with Kerri of The Proper Setting, we captured owners Amy and Tony of I Do OBX Chairs and the Ocean Atlantic Rentals team making all the details of this sweet couple’s “I do’s” perfection. Holiday House Weddings designed these towering and petite arrangements that hosted buttery roses and hydrangeas. Melinda of Just Desserts made Tara and Chris’s crystal wrapped cake (which all wedding guests couldn’t stop raving about) and our very own Blue Steel Lighting created all of the romantic ambiance. Thanks to Mary Basnight Photography, we’re sharing a few of our favorite after photos of everyone’s hard work. Enjoy!
