Missy & Tom, Pennsylvania

For some couples rain on a wedding day could be utter disaster, but that wasn’t the case for Missy and Tom. This dynamic, Pennsylvania couple embraced all the mystery and beauty of the misty weather Mother Nature brought on their big day. After spending this summer on Hatteras Island – Missy, Tom and their families formed a beautiful bond with our members on the Southern side of Highway 12, which made these Inn on Pamlico Sound nuptials a truly gleeful affair. The bride’s bouquet, the intimate ceremony and the personalized touches – are just some of the details girls only dream of when planning their wedding and Missy and Tom brought it life. Captured by Daniel Pullen Photography, you’ll be thankful you didn’t miss this stunning gallery.

Wedding Trend Tuesday: Shut the Front Door!

Adding antique doors to your decor are one of our favorite ways to dress up ceremony space or to truly land you that grand entrance you’ve always wanted to create. These vintage, chic additions are so versatile that they can be incorporated in any wedding venue, from beach “I do’s” in Corolla to secret garden nuptials in Manteo. We couldn’t wait to showcase a handful of our members’ designs for their Outer Banks brides that incorporated this lovely trend into their big day! Enjoy!

Lindsay & Ashley, Philadelphia, PA

A fetching affair with winsome ocean details, this wedding – filmed by Swell Productions – combines everything we love about beach nuptials and Southern hospitality. Not only do we adore the bridesmaids’ seersucker dresses and the monogram dance floor, but the immense love that surrounded Lindsay and Ashley. You’ll fall in love with the raw beauty of their ceremony and reception, along with the most stunning lace gowns you’ve ever seen.

Elizabeth and Griffith, Philadelphia, PA

With Griffith’s family having spent decades visiting the Outer Banks shores, tying the knot on this ribbon of sand was a simple decision for he and Elizabeth. Their wedding, captured by Julie Dreelin’s Beach Productions, was a sun-drenched, glamorous fete with a classic tent reception that radiated Miami flare – Elizabeth’s hometown.  Guests marveled at the cascading orchid blooms by Bells & Whistles, along with the pop of pink details that filled the decor throughout the Historic Whalehead Club grounds. Without a doubt, Elizabeth and Griffiths’s “I do’s” were the epitome of pure sophistication and elegance.

Chelsea & William, West Virginia

Three words: chandeliers, sunflowers, bulldog – unique details that  we can’t get enough of from Chelsea and William’s Jennette’s Pier wedding! After heading South for their Outer Banks wedding, these two and their families felt right at home in their Village Realty beach house. Crafted with navy hues and bursting sunflower blooms – you’ll fall head-over-heels for this duo’s wedding decor! We simply adore the subtle touches of starfish that adorned the groomsmens’ suits, and the bride’s and bridesmaids’ hair created by Dimensions Hair Salon. Daniel Pullen Photography never ceases to amazes us with their spectacular work and we know you’ll fall in love with these stunning photos! Enjoy!
